Construction to start in 2010
Construct the Apex Peakway from North Salem Street to New Dover Road, approximately 3,600 feet. A traffic signal will be provided at North Salem Street and at Laura Duncan Road. A bridge will span the CSX S Line.

Apex Peakway Projects Continue

Town of Apex acquiring right of way: $40,000
This is an approximate 250 foot extension that would connect the Apex Peakway segment to Tingen Road.
This project will be constructed by the Broadstone Station (WalMart) developer.

Town Of Apex Planning Board Meeting
Public Hearing: Monday, October 12, 2009, 4:30 pm
Item #1 – Rezoning Case #09CZ10 Thomas & Robin Seymour, owners, are seeking to rezone from (O & I) Office & Institutional to MORR-CZ (Mixed Office-Residential-Retail Conditional Zoning) district classification for the property located at 300 S. Salem St., 306 S. Salem St., 310 S. Salem St., 314 S. Salem St. containing 2.79 acres. The subject properties are identified on Wake County Tax Maps as PIN# 0741392878, 0741393903, 0742301069, 0742303069 & 0742304127.

A Special Meeting of the Apex Town Council and the Apex Planning Board has been scheduled for Monday, October 12, 2009, 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Apex Town Hall, 73 Hunter Street. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct the first of several work sessions regarding Veridea.

I believe that the recently passed transit plan changes are directly related to this project and needs to be looked at more thoroughly. Its not too late, lets explore these changes in more detail.
