Shape The Future of Transportation in Apex

The Apex Transportation Plan is a collection of maps and analysis of the future transportation needs in and around Apex. The Plan considers existing and future streets, sidewalks, bike facilities, and transit routes that make up the entire transportation network. The Plan does not require a schedule for implementation nor does it set aside funding for improvements. Instead, it helps the Town establish long term transportation priorities and identify transportation requirements for new development. New Apex Schools Site Is Back

The Wake County school board has approved a contract to buy a 108-acre tract off Humie Olive Road in Apex for $4.67 million. owned by Apex Olive LLC, a development company in which Cary’s SAS software businessman Jim Goodnight is a partner. It is the same location that was discussed back in early 2007, but was criticized as too high by some county officials, and the school board ultimately killed the deal.
